Garlic Chicken Macaroni
****** Welcome Back Bachelor's *****
What we are making today is something that as a bachelor is the most budget friendly and easy time saver Dish.
You can try your own versions based on what you like.
Just remember "never add ginger garlic paste on a Macaroni Recipe" this is a tried and tested tip.
I failed miserably with ginger garlic paste on my Mac last time.
This can also be your #StruggleMeal (month end financial struggles budget eating)
So here is what you need.
Ingredients:
*Water
*Macaroni (Any Brand - I am using Bambino)
*Tomato Ketchup
*Soya Sauce
*Garlic Cloves (2)
*Oil (Any)
*Red Chilli powder (Optional)
*Salt & Pepper (Mandate on most Indian dishes)
*Minced Chicken (Kheema Murgh) - Quantity as per preference
*Dried Thyme leaves (Optional)
*All purpose flour (Maida)
Method:
-Phase 1:
*Turn the gas on (high flame)
*Take a saucepan & boil some water
*Add on the Mac as per desired serving portion
*Pour 1Table spoon of oil
*Sprinkle 2 pinch measure of salt
*Sprinkle one pinch measure of Thyme (just remember, thyme is slightly strong on its fragrance use mildly always)
*Close the lid and let it boil for 10minutes in high flame.
*Check and give a quick stir on the boiling Mac every 2minutes
*Once done use a strainer and drain the Mac on it.
*Remember to save some starch of the Mac (water in which you boiled Mac), one cup max. This water will be used in further processing
*Let the strained Mac cool down
In the interim
-Phase 2:
*Use the same saucepan & pour 1 table spoon of oil. (More can be added if you prefer)
*Crush 2 garlic Cloves & roughly chop them.
*Now once the oil is heated add in the chopped garlic
*Light Sauté it & immediately add the minced Chicken as much as you prefer and allow it to roast along with garlic
*Continue to sauté, remember that these minced chicken will take up to 5 minutes to cook.
*Then you add in half cup of Mac Starch
*1 T spoon soya sauce or less than one T spoon depending on your taste again. Do not exceed one T spoon though as the starch water already has added salt.
*Ketchup anywhere from 1Table spoon to 3 table spoon comes in
*Continue to keep stirring
*Add 1 T spoon or a little more than 1 T spoon of Maida just so that the sauce can thicken
*Then comes the addition of red chilli powder, Add 1 Tspoon, This will give you balance of mild spice and mild sweetness because of the Ketchup and red chilli powder.
*Check if any excess salt is needed at this stage. Sprinkle some if needed.
*Now add the Mac and fold well with the garlic chicken sauce
Voilà, GARLIC CHICKEN MAC ready with 15minutes at a minimal cost.
Serve HOT always.
